JOB OPPORTUNITY: Director of Client Services

The Director of Client Services is a one-year renewable position, responsible for working directly with the Executive(s)-in-Residence (EIRs), Director of Operations, and CEO to enable timely and effective service delivery to Innovate Niagara’s client companies.

Primary Responsibilities

Working within a hybrid model of in-office and work from home, the Director of Client Services is responsible for the following duties:

  • Client Recruitment.
  • Manage client intake and meetings, and work with EIR(s) to formulate meeting follow up responses to clients.
  • Lead i.d.e.a. fund program.
  • Manage the Client Services Advisor in his/her responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the intake process and ensure that clients review and sign and return the Client Acknowledgement Agreement
  • Participate in client meetings, take detailed meeting notes, and work with Business Analyst to formulate meeting follow up responses to clients.
  • Record and input details of client meetings into the Client Management System (CRM) and archive all additional client correspondence and additional client files in the CRM.
  • Market Intelligence (MI) service provision. Help clients formulate effective research questions and complete the MI request forms for submission to the MI team. Review and analyze the MI results provided by Industry Analysts, and ensure that pertinent information points are identified for the client to review.
  • Customize market research services for clients on an “as needed” basis.
  • Organize and maintain business support resources.
  • Client business plan research, review and editing support.
  • Client funding program identification and application research/writing support.
  • Client investor pitch presentation preparation.
  • Client funding program identification and application research/writing support.
  • Advising clients on online marketing strategy and execution.



Job Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education with minimum 10 years experience in research and analysis in a business/community/economic development context.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with strict attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills, scheduling and follow-up to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with client companies and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects impacting a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on both Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
